About the Event
We are thrilled to welcome back Gigi Risberg Stafne, MH, ND, to guide us through the rich cultural traditions of Nordic herbal healing practices. During this two-day event, we’ll explore ancestral and contemporary Scandinavian herbal medicines, indigenous Sami and Finnish Karelian lost healing arts, Norse Deities and Viking mythology, cultural foods, and seasonal practices as we shift through the Wheel of the Year.
Our Instructor: Gigi, has nearly 40 years experience as a writer, clinician, and educator of natural and botanical medicine. She is the Director and Lead Instructor at the Green Wisdom School of Natural & Botanical Medicine, and a 3rd generation granddaughter of Scandinavian immigrants from Norway, Finland, and the Sweden-Norway borderlands. Gigi brings an unparalleled knowledge of traditional and contemporary northern healing arts and cultures with her, as well as a passion for building connections and advocating awareness within the ecological, health justice, and natural medicine fields.
